Hebrew fonts for DOS PC
-----------------------
JER_PC TEL_PC DEAD_PC and OLD_PC are the PC equivalent of
Jerusalem TelAviv DeadSea and OldJaffa fonts for Unix.
The difference lies only in Ascii positions. For DOS, the Hebrew
alphabet starts at 224.

FR FRBX and FRSL are the Frank Ruehl fonts.

You use use the above mentioned fonts by typing the Hebrew letters
onto your tex (or latex) input file. You can do it after installing the
Hebrew support onto your DOS PC, by activationg HEBVGA.COM and
KEYBHE.COM and then using an editor, e.g. HED.EXE. See the relevant
files in a separate directory.

HCLASSIC and HCAPTION are Joel Hoffman's fonts with vowels (NIKUD).
hcaption is slanted, hclassic is upright.
Usage is described in the guide \DOC\CLASSIC.TEX (TeX file) and
\DOC\CLASSIC.PS (PostScript file).
The files DOC\DOTS.TEX DOC\HLETTER1.TEX AND DOC\VOWELS.TEX
are inputted by CLASSIC.TEX.

\EXAMPLES\HCLASSIC.TEX is a tex example file for using those two fonts.
The example file uses control sequence for each Hebrew letter.
Actually, you can type the Hebrew letters themselves in the input file,
as you would do with all other Hebrew fonts.

Note that the Hebrew characters in the example are written "backwards".
This is not necessarily so; you can write in the usual order of characters
if you use tex--xet (PUBTeX).
\EXAMPLES\PS\HCLASSIC.PS is the PostScvript version of the example.

The Shalom fonts (SHLM_*) have been written by Jonathan Brecher using
MAC's Fontographer, and converted to tex fonts by Rama.
SHLM_OLD has originaly been called Shalom Old font. It is the closest to
"ordinary" text fonts of the three.
SHLM_STK has originaly been called Shalom Stick font. It's characters
are narrow and sans serif.
SHLM_SCR has originaly been called Shalom Script font. It is an immitation
of a "hand written" (ktav) font.
Usage of the fonts is described in \DOC\SHALOM.DOC .
\EXAMPLES\SHALOM.TEX is an example tex file.
\EXAMPLES\PS\SHALOM.PS is the PostScript version of the example.
Please note -- the example file is meant to be used by tex--xet (PUBTeX).
In order to run this example in the regular TeX, you have to un-comment
a few lines within the file and comment other lines. Edit the file shalom.tex
and see.
