About Lollipop and its manual.

This package contains the Lollipop format and its manual.

The format consists of the files:
define.tex heading.tex lollipop.tex text.tex
document.tex lists.tex lolplain.tex tools.tex
fonts.tex lollipop.log output.tex

The manual consists of the files:
appendix.tex head.tex opt.tex titlepag.tex
comm.tex list.tex out.tex trace.tex
comment.tex mandefs.tex prelim.tex
extern.tex manual.tex struct.tex

First run Initex on the file `lollipop.tex'; this dumps a
file `lollipop.fmt'.

Then run TeX (or virtex on some unix systems) with the
format lollipop on the file manual. Typically you type
 >tex &lollipop manual
or
 > virtex \&lollipop manual
Something along those lines. You'll have to do that three
times to get all of the references and the table of contents
right.

The manual uses only Computer Modern, but there are a few
lines in `manual.tex' that allow you to switch easily to Times
and Helvetica on Macintosh and Unix systems.

You'll notice that the manual spends quite some time in
loading the `mandefs.tex' file. You can prevent that by
following the instructions in `manual.tex'. (This is
optional, but instructive.)

Lollipop is not in a finished state in the sense that
more functionality will be added to it. It is finished in the
sense that it formats the manual and its examples. Since I want
to invite comments and feedback from users,
I've decided to release it in this state.
